The Department of Legislation within Finland Chamber of Commerce monitors and endeavours to influence legislative initiatives. Our aim is to strengthen the status of self-regulation as an alternative to detailed legislation.

Our Boards and Committees serve as dynamic lobbyists

The work of the Boards and Committees is a vital aspect of the activities of Finland Chamber of Commerce. They draft initiatives and make decisions that are important for trade and industry, orientate themselves with issues that are topical for their fields, and influence the operational environment within their own fields.

  • The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Committee provides companies with information concerning IPR issues and the best IPR practices.
  • The Legislation Committee monitors the development of legislation and regulatory work, both on the national and European levels, that is relevant to business life, particularly as it concerns corporate law, Corporate Governance, the securities market, competition law and consumer protection.
  • The E-Business Committee monitors preparation and development of regulation relevant to electronic business in the EU and in Finland, and aims to influence it in accordance with the interests of businesses as well as promotes the operating environment for electronic business.
