ATA Carnet – a customs document for temporary export
The ATA Carnet is an international customs document that enables one to temporarily export goods to foreign countries without having to pay duty or taxes. Altogether 70 countries belong to the ATA Carnet system. The ATA Carnet may be used for one year to make unlimited entries into applicable countries.
For more information, please visit the ATA Carnet website of the ICC at www.iccwbo.org/ata
European Community (EC) Certificate of Origin
The purpose of a Certificate of Origin is solely to indicate the country of origin for specific goods in order to facilitate the ability to act in accordance with valid customs and trade regulations (such as for the issuing of a letter of credit). The Certificate of Origin is used for countries with whom the EU does not have a free-trade agreement, so it does not entitle any country to preferential treatment.
Commercial invoice confirmations
The Chamber of Commerce confirms commercial invoices by officiating them with a full confidence stamp, the date and the signature of an authorized representative.
Recommendations for export companies
The Chamber of Commerce provides its member companies with letters of recommendation that the export personnel can present, for example, to prospective customers on entry into new export countries.
Force majeure certificates (or certification of an insurmountable obstacle)
When necessary, the legal counsel of the Chamber of Commerce will draft a certificate which establishes that a delivery delay was caused by a specific event, such as a strike or fire, but does not assess its legal repercussions.
The Chambers of Commerce issue and confirm numerous different certificates that are necessary for exports. More information about these certificates is available from your regional Chamber of Commerce.
Finland Chamber of Commerce oversees the issuance of foreign trade documents by regional Chambers of Commerce.
